Mute is excited to announce the final piece of Yann Tiersenís Kerber project, Kerber Complete; a 4CD box set including a brand new solo piano version of Kerber, the original album, Kerber Remixes with bonus material, and Tiersenís live translation of Kerber, 11 5 18 2 5 18. Out September 15th, this special 4CD set is packaged in a clamshell box with individual card sleeves for each album and a booklet. Kerber was initially released in 2021 and was very much a new chapter in the Breton artistís work. Although there was piano at the core, the album was the most overtly electronic material he had presented to date. This was followed up by Kerber Remixes (a 12Ē of remixes from Terence Fixmer, Beatrice Dillon, Laurel Halo, Iku Sakan and remix competition winners) and 11 5 18 2 5 18 (a record of reprogrammed, resampled and reimagined tracks from Kerber and additional tracks from his catalog that serves as the perfect insight into Tiersenís live interpretation of the original album). This CD box set adds a number of new additions to the Kerber story. This includes Kerber (Solo Piano), an album of the original piano parts that Tiersen wrote in spring of 2020 which initiated the whole process of creating the original record. It also offers Kerber Remixes on CD for the first time. This version features a new Terence Fixmer remix of ďKer al Loch,Ē a variety of Yann Tiersenís remixes of tracks by NEU!, Keeley Forsyth, Michael Price, and Simon Fisher Turner and Edmund de Waal, as well as a brand new song titled ďNivlenn.Ē This will be released alongside Kerber - The Film, which was a unique performance of the album initially available via LIVENow. It takes the audience on a visual and sonic journey across the island of Ushant, giving the full project a true sense of place.
